QUETTA: The Balochistan Grand Alliance and All-Parties Action Committee held a joint meeting at the National Party headquarters on Wednesday, officials said, with Dr. Ishaq Baloch, vice president of the National Party, presiding over the session.
Senior leaders from major political parties, including the Awami National Party, Hazara Democratic Party, National Democratic Movement, PTI, and Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party, attended the talks, alongside provincial ministers and senior officials. The discussions focused on labor issues and the resolution of longstanding employee demands, with all parties emphasizing cooperation and dialogue.
Officials said the meeting led to the successful release of employees in the first phase, a development widely welcomed by stakeholders as a positive step toward addressing workforce concerns. Party leaders pledged to maintain engagement in future negotiations to ensure that pending demands would be addressed, reflecting a shared commitment to resolving issues through consensus and collaboration.
Observers noted that the meeting demonstrated the capacity of regional political alliances to work collectively on practical matters affecting employees, highlighting a coordinated approach to governance and labor relations in Balochistan. The session concluded with assurances from all participating parties to continue dialogue and support measures aimed at protecting workers’ rights and improving institutional processes.
