KARACHI: Corporate leaders and philanthropists gathered for a fundraising evening in support of the Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN), with a senior Pakistan Navy official attending as chief guest and praising the organisation’s role in expanding access to healthcare.

The event, titled Aik Sham Indus Kay Nam, was hosted on 13 February by Danish Aman, a member of the hospital’s corporate ambassador group and its resource generation committee, with Bank Alfalah as co-host.

Vice Admiral Faisal Amin, Commander Coast, Pakistan Navy, said institutions such as IHHN were strengthening the country’s healthcare system by ensuring quality treatment for patients regardless of their financial means. He also commended the organisation’s transparency and humanitarian approach, describing it as a model of public service.

Dr Abdul Bari Khan, founding president of the network, thanked donors and supporters for what he called their essential role in sustaining free healthcare services. Syed Mashhood Rizvi, executive director for communications and resource generation, outlined the organisation’s growing impact and said continued corporate support was vital for the expansion of medical facilities and services.

IHHN co-founder Akhtar Aziz and other senior members of the leadership also attended the gathering, where representatives of several companies announced contributions for the hospital’s programmes. The evening reflected ongoing corporate and individual support for the network’s mission to provide free, quality healthcare to underserved communities across Pakistan.
