KARACHI: The Governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori, said the people of the province were beginning to take his administration seriously, as he spoke at an Iftar dinner at the Governor House in Karachi on Saturday evening.
The event, attended by senior political figures including Dr Farooq Sattar and the Turkish consul-general, offered a rare glimpse into Tessori’s reflections on the political climate of the province and his vision for governance. He was sharply critical of political factions he described as “factories” that converted every issue into a political problem.
Tessori also referenced a previous conference on Sindh’s future, urging political actors to channel their energies into constructive action rather than conspiracies. “Effort succeeds, conspiracy never does,” he remarked, highlighting his belief in proactive policymaking over maneuvering for political advantage.
Acknowledging that his political party was still in its early stages, Tessori called for patience and persistence, framing his administration’s journey as a gradual but determined effort to transform governance in Sindh.
Addressing the gathering, Tessori insisted that his administration remained committed to a principled and constructive path, stressing that public engagement and confidence were essential markers of effective governance. “The people of Sindh have started taking us seriously,” he said, underscoring the perception that his government was beginning to gain traction in the eyes of citizens weary of partisan disputes.
The dinner, blending formal diplomacy with political reflection, illustrated Tessori’s efforts to balance outreach with a firm stance on governance, setting a tone for the coming months as Sindh navigates both political competition and the demands of public service.
