Dera Ismail Khan: The Divisional Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC) of Dera Division held a high-level meeting under the chairmanship of Commissioner Daud Khan to review the law and order situation and finalize security arrangements ahead of Ramadan 2026.
The meeting was attended by Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Regional Police Officer, Assistant to Commissioner Sajjad Baloch, senior officials from law enforcement, and representatives from district administration and other departments.
Officials presented updates on previous decisions, noting significant progress while urging swift implementation of remaining points. The Commissioner instructed all departments to enhance coordination to ensure that benefits reach the grassroots level.
Special attention was given to Ramadan security, with directives to ensure foolproof protection at mosques, Imambargahs, and other public places. Measures include increased police patrolling during sehri and iftar hours, effective traffic management, and strict monitoring of essential commodities.
The meeting also addressed the ongoing repatriation of illegal foreign nationals, stressing adherence to government policy, legal requirements, and human rights standards.
Progress under the Provincial Action Plan (PAP) and the National Action Plan was reviewed, with the Commissioner reiterating a zero-tolerance approach toward extremism, hate speech, and illegal activities. Security of sensitive locations, government buildings, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure will be further strengthened through joint check posts, threat assessments, and intelligence sharing.
Commissioner Daud Khan emphasized inter-agency coordination, adoption of a unified strategy, and reaffirmed that protection of life and property remains the government’s top priority, with no room for negligence.
