TANDO ALLAHYAR: A domestic dispute turned fatal when Hamza Arain allegedly stabbed his elder brother in Shahbaz Colony, police said. The elder sibling had previously sustained injuries in a similar incident and was treated at a local hospital before being referred to Hyderabad, but he reportedly downplayed the attack at the time. A few days later, he succumbed to his injuries.
The family initially concealed the death, holding funeral prayers at night and burying him quietly in a nearby cemetery. After a video of the incident surfaced, police registered a case at A-Section Police Station. Hamza Arain was arrested, while his brother-in-law and another brother, previously granted bail, are also under investigation.
During questioning, Hamza admitted that a minor household quarrel escalated, prompting him to stab his elder brother. DSP Tando Allahyar Usman Leghari stated that police are pursuing all involved and emphasized that those committing murder under the guise of an accident would face full legal consequences.
