Police in Sukkur arrested two women and recovered 490 grams of hashish during a targeted operation against social ills, officials confirmed on 27 February. The operation took place near Jinnah Chowk under the supervision of the SHO of B Section police station, assisted by a women police team, following directives from SSP Azhar Khan.
The arrested women, identified as Arbab Abbasi and Nargis Abbasi, have been taken into custody, and a case has been registered against them under the Narcotics Act. SSP Khan praised the police team for their effective action in curbing drug-related crime in the area.
The statement was issued by the spokesperson for Sukkur police, emphasizing the continued commitment of law enforcement to combat narcotics and maintain public safety.
