KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh launched its Patient Aid Welfare initiative at an Iftar dinner held at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) on 1 March 2026. The event took place in the Najmuddin Auditorium parking area and was attended by doctors, nurses, paramedics, social and political figures, members of the legal fraternity, and media representatives.
Executive Director JPMC, Professor Dr. Khalid Sher, and Joint Executive Director Dr. Muhammad Salman formally inaugurated the initiative by cutting the ribbon. Dr. Salman praised the YDA leadership for organising a coordinated event that promotes unity within the medical community and underscores the importance of patient welfare and public service.
Chairman YDA Sindh, Dr. Mehboob Noonari, thanked guests and attendees, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to addressing young doctors’ concerns while advancing patient-focused welfare programs.
Senior officials from JPMC, the Sindh Secretariat, and the Health Department were present. Notable attendees included Assistant Directors Dr. Saddam Saleh and Farooq Ahmed, HOD Abdul Razzaq Dogar, nurses’ leaders Ijaz Ali Kaleri and Muhammad Ashiq Chauhan, and paramedical representatives Hassan Pathan, Salman Memon, and Asadullah Sameto.
Dr. Muhammad Naeem Qaimkhani, Coordinator to the Federal Minister of Health and senior MQM-P leader, attended the event as a special guest.
