ISLAMABAD: The government has released the flight schedule for Hajj 2026, confirming that the first operation will commence on April 18, facilitating the travel of 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims under the official scheme.
The initial flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan, carrying pilgrims to Madinah. Over the 34-day operation, a total of 468 flights will transport pilgrims, with 186 flights scheduled for Madinah and 282 flights for Jeddah. The first Hajj flight to Jeddah is set for May 4, while the last will depart on May 21.
Of the total pilgrims, 67,230 are men and 51,846 are women. During the first 15 days, all pilgrims will be flown to Madinah to begin their Hajj journey.
City-wise, Islamabad will operate 129 flights, Karachi 124, Lahore 104, Multan 34, Sialkot 26, Quetta 18, Faisalabad 23, and Sukkur five. Pilgrims selected under the government scheme will be informed of their specific flight details next week.
Officials emphasised that all arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth, organized, and safe operation for the pilgrims.
