MESAR: Following news reports by journalists of the National Press Club Mehar highlighting the issue of drugs and social evils, SSP Dadu Ameer Saud Magsi launched a crackdown against drug dealers. Police claim to have arrested 42 suspects involved in drug trafficking and recovered more than 10 kilograms of charas, 836 packets of gutka and betel nut, 11 kilograms of cannabis (bhang), and bottles of liquor.
On the directives of DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razzaq Dharejo and SSP Dadu Captain (R) Amir Saud Magsi, police conducted raids against drug dealers across Mehar Taluka and various areas of Dadu district.
According to SSP Dadu, the operations were carried out by SHOs of several police stations including Mehar A and B Sections, Radhan, CIA Mehar, Shah Panjo Sultan, Bhund Mari, Fareedabad, Johi, KN Shah, Dadu, Sita Road, Phulji Station, Drigh Bala, Kukar, Aminani, Rukan, Pat Gul Muhammad, Mondar, Phulji Village, and others.
Those arrested include Mukhtiar Zardari, Imran alias Kodo Janwari, Shiraz Chandio, Ejaz Balidai, Saeed Chandio, Fida Hussain Kalhoro, Siraj Chandio, Ashiq Janwari, Nazirun, Saba Solangi, Zulfiqar alias Chaplo Bhatti, Syed Hashim alias Hasho Shah, Ashfaq Kunharo, Ilahi Bakhsh Chandio, Raja Book, Oshaque Bughio, Arsalan Chandio, Rahil Rajput, Yaseen Sodhar, Sadaqat Sodhar, Rahab Laghari, Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo, Muhammad Shahmeer Jogi, Amir Ali Lund, Daud Babar, Irfan Khoso, Darya Khan Wadho, Arbab Depar, Riaz Panhwar, Abdul Hameed Khoso, Shiraz Qambrani, Ashiq Bhund, Mumtaz Mallah, Ehsan alias Ehsu Manghar, Pir Ejaz, Mushtaq Channa, Faraz Panhwar, Zahid Hussain Joyo, Gul Sher Chandio, Imtiaz Umrani, Anwar Abro and others.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects at the respective police stations. SSP Dadu stated that operations against drug dealers and other social evils have been intensified across Mehar Taluka and the entire Dadu district, adding that the police are determined to eliminate narcotics and improve the overall law and order situation in the district.
