SIALKOT: A petrol pump employee was killed and another injured after armed individuals in a car opened fire on them on Hajipura Road in Sialkot, police reported.
According to authorities, the car occupants asked the petrol pump staff to fill an additional 10 litres of petrol in a can. When the employee refused to provide open petrol, an argument ensued, and the car occupants opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Police confirmed that an investigation is underway and efforts are ongoing to locate the suspects involved in the shooting.
The incident comes amid a recent sharp increase in petroleum prices announced last night, with petrol and high-speed diesel rates rising by Rs55 per litre.
