KARACHI: The Dairy Farmers Association has written to the Commissioner of Karachi, requesting an increase in the price of milk to Rs320 per litre in the city.
In the letter addressed to the Commissioner, the association stated that farmers are no longer able to absorb losses of Rs70 per litre, emphasizing that the current rates are unsustainable.
The appeal comes amid sharp increases in petroleum product prices, which have also prompted immediate fare hikes by transporters and Pakistan Railways.
