TANDO ALLAHYAR: The Sindh Primary Teachers Association (PTA) of Taluka Jhando Marri and Taluka Tando Allahyar organized an iftar party and oath-taking ceremony at Gymkhana Tando Allahyar, attended by teachers and education officials.The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which elected representatives and distinguished guests were welcomed with traditional langiyas and flower garlands. Renowned writer and educationist Riaz Imrani administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers.Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Juman Jarwar said the success of the elected members was the result of their hard work and struggle. He said the teaching community is aware and responsible, adding that teachers cast their votes independently without any pressure. He also alleged that names of several teachers had been excluded from the voter list by the opposing group, and pledged efforts to promote senior teachers to the HST cadre.Former Taluka Education Officer Tando Allahyar George Siraj said teachers demonstrated democratic values during the recent PTA elections and stressed the need for collective efforts to resolve the problems faced by educators.Senior teacher Aziz Ahmed Sanad congratulated the successful candidates and called for early resolution of the teaching community’s basic issues. PTA President Muhammad Urs Imrani and Shafi Muhammad Lund said that salaries pending for some teachers would be released soon and expressed hope for further success in the upcoming PTA district-level matters.A large number of teachers, including Sujawal Muhammad Khan Kalro, Muhammad Omar Jarwar, and Master Aflatoon, attended the ceremony. Dinner was served to participants after iftar.
