KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi held a grand Iftar and dinner at the Jaun Elia Lawn to honour journalists from electronic, print, and digital media. President Muhammad Ahmed Shah, along with the governing body, welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support of the council’s cultural initiatives.
In his address, Shah highlighted the longstanding tradition of the Arts Council in maintaining close ties with the journalist community, praising their role in promoting art and culture and covering the institution’s activities. The annual Iftar is organised as a gesture of appreciation for their continued contribution.
The event was attended by prominent figures including political leader Nisar Khuhro, Karachi Press Club President Fazil Jamili, Arts Council Secretary Ejaz Farooqui, Huma Mir, Amjad Hussain Shah, Ghazi Salahuddin, Dr Ayub Sheikh, and journalists Mazhar Abbas, Muhammad Farooq from AP, AH Alauddin Khanzada, Raffat Saeed, among others.
