NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces have successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by Fitna Al Khawarij and Afghan Taliban militants in North Waziristan as operations continue under Operation Ghazb-e-Haq. According to security sources, terrorists were planning to infiltrate through the border area of Mawazkle when security forces conducted an effective operation, eliminating multiple Afghan Taliban fighters while others abandoned their posts and fled.
The Pakistan Army targeted and completely destroyed compounds and hideouts belonging to Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khawarij militants during the operation. Security sources have confirmed that operations will continue until all objectives are achieved under the broader operational framework.
Local citizens and civil society circles have praised the Pakistan Army’s action, terming it essential for establishing peace in the country. Residents emphasized that Pakistan possesses the capability to go to any extent in defending its territory, asserting that enemy elements’ attempts to destabilize Pakistan will ultimately fail. They highlighted that Pakistani forces always adhere to international norms and human values during operations.
Citizens further dismissed allegations of targeting civilian populations as false and misleading, suggesting that Afghanistan’s accusations are attempts to divert attention from their own failures. They stressed that continuing effective counter-terrorism measures is critically important in the current circumstances, with the entire nation standing united with its armed forces.
