TEHRAN: At least seven people have been martyred and 56 others wounded in US and Israeli strikes on Iran’s Lorestan province, according to Iranian officials. The deputy governor of Lorestan province confirmed that attacks targeted the city of Dorud, with international media reporting that rural areas in Chgeni district were also hit.
In the Chgeni rural region alone, four people were killed and eight others wounded as American and Israeli forces expanded their bombing campaign deeper into Iranian territory. The strikes represent an escalation in the ongoing conflict that began on February 28 when the United States and Israel initiated hostilities, with casualties continuing to mount across multiple Iranian provinces in recent weeks.
