KARACHI: Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has directed all city agencies to remain on high alert amid ongoing rain in Karachi, as light to heavy showers continue across different areas. He said municipal staff were already on the ground and efforts were underway to manage the situation.
The mayor instructed that traffic wardens be deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic, while complaints of fallen trees due to strong winds were also being addressed. He added that teams were actively responding to issues arising from the weather.
Wahab said all necessary machinery had been deployed in various parts of the city and staff were fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation caused by the rain. Authorities remain vigilant as weather conditions continue to affect daily life in Karachi.
