DOHA: Qatar and Turkiye have condemned attacks on energy installations by Iran, warning in a joint statement that aggression against oil and gas facilities could have serious global consequences. Speaking at a joint press conference, the Qatari prime minister alongside Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said attacks on oil and gas facilities were intolerable and would carry serious repercussions for the world.
Foreign Minister Fidan stated that attacks on energy installations were unacceptable under any circumstances, emphasizing that diplomacy remained the first and last solution to disputes. He revealed that Turkiye had urged Iran to refrain from spreading conflict in the region, as tensions continue to escalate following the US-Israeli initiation of hostilities on February 28. The joint condemnation reflects growing concern among regional powers over the widening conflict and its impact on global energy markets and security.
