RAWALPINDI: Eidul Fitr prayers were offered at Adiala Jail, but the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could not participate due to security reasons, according to jail sources. While ordinary inmates performed Eid prayers at the jail’s main mosque and imambargah, the PTI founder remained in his cell during the prayers.
Jail sources further indicated that the PTI founder may be allowed a telephone conversation with his children today, while a meeting with Bushra Bibi is also expected. The development comes as the incarcerated former prime minister continues to face strict security protocols during his detention.
