KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan have recorded a massive decline, reflecting a sharp fall in the international market and marking one of the biggest drops in recent times.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs43,600, bringing it down to Rs447,762.
The price of 10 grams also dropped by Rs47,380 to Rs383,883.
Market data showed that gold prices have declined by a total of Rs116,100 per tola so far this month, indicating strong downward pressure on bullion rates.
In the international market, gold prices also dropped sharply, with the per ounce rate falling by $436 to $4,250 in a single day. Analysts said the decline was driven by volatility in global markets, which directly impacts local prices.
