KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms across Pakistan from March 24 to March 30. A western weather system is expected to enter Balochistan on March 24, with intensity likely to increase by the night of March 27.
According to the forecast, rain is expected in several parts of Balochistan, including Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur, Kech, Awaran, Pasni, Ormara, Khuzdar, and Quetta, as well as in other areas such as Chaman, Zhob, and Loralai.
The system is also expected to bring rainfall to parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Swat, Chitral, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kohistan, and Shangla, along with other districts across the province.In Punjab and surrounding regions, rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and several other districts between March 24 and March 30.
Sindh is also likely to receive rainfall, with Karachi and Hyderabad expected to experience rain on March 25, 26, 28, and 29, while other areas such as Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, and Jacobabad may also see rain.The forecast further indicates that rain is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir during this period, as the weather system spreads across northern parts of the country.
