WASHINGTON: The United States has sent a 15-point proposal to Iran aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, according to American media reports.
The plan reportedly calls for a complete halt to uranium enrichment on Iranian soil. It also demands the dismantling of key nuclear facilities, including those in Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow.
According to the reports, the proposal further requires Iran to stop funding proxy groups in the region and suggests the establishment of a free maritime zone in the Strait of Hormuz.Israeli media has claimed that Washington is seeking a month-long ceasefire to allow time for negotiations on the proposed agreement.
