KARACHI: Light rain was recorded in several northern and western areas of Karachi early in the morning, bringing pleasant weather to the city.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a western weather system is influencing the region, and rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds is expected at isolated locations later in the day.
Officials said rainfall may range from moderate to heavy in some areas, with wind speeds likely to exceed 40 kilometres per hour where thunderclouds intensify.
The Met Office added that no rain is expected in the city tomorrow. However, towards the end of the week, particularly on Saturday and Sunday, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds, and even hailstorms along with rain.
