LAHORE: Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs in a Pakistan Super League 11 match, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by Hasan Ali.
Hasan Ali took four wickets for 27 runs to restrict Quetta Gladiators to 167 for 7 in their 20 overs while chasing a target of 182.
Earlier, Karachi Kings posted 181 for 7, with Moeen Ali scoring an unbeaten 48, while captain David Warner made 35 and Saad Baig added 30 runs.
For Quetta Gladiators, Akeal Hosein claimed three wickets, while Alzarri Joseph took two.
In reply, captain Saud Shakeel and Haseebullah Khan provided a solid start, with Haseebullah smashing 52 off 24 balls and Saud scoring 33. However, the middle order failed to capitalise, despite contributions from Rilee Rossouw and Ben McDermott, who scored 25 each.
The match was played at Gaddafi Stadium, where Quetta Gladiators had earlier won the toss and opted to field.
