PARIS: G7 urges halt to attacks on civilians, critical infrastructure in Iran conflict zThe G7 countries have called for an immediate stop to attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict in Iran.
In a joint statement issued during their foreign ministers’ meeting, the G7 emphasised the importance of minimizing the impact of the conflict on regional partners, civilian populations, and essential infrastructure.
The ministers also reiterated the need to restore safe and toll-free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a key international maritime route.
The Paris-based meeting of G7 foreign ministers was attended by representatives from Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Korea, India, and Ukraine.
