PESHAWAR: In the third match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Peshawar Zalmi created a remarkable global record against Rawalpindi Panthers.
Zalmi became the first team in the world to chase the highest target in a T20 innings without any individual half-century, scoring 218 runs to surpass the target of 215. Previously, the record of chasing a target without a fifty was 214 runs by Washington against Los Angeles in a Major League T20 match.
In addition, Peshawar Zalmi set a new domestic record in Pakistan cricket. Their score of 218 is now the highest total in Pakistan domestic cricket without any player scoring a half-century. The previous domestic record was held by Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, who scored 209 runs in an innings without any individual fifty.
