TEHRAN: Esmail Qaani, head of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has issued a stern warning that Israel must prepare for a shifting regional order in the Middle East.
In his statement, General Qaani criticised Benjamin Netanyahu for aspiring to expand a security belt across the region, describing such plans as unrealistic. He highlighted the coordinated actions of Hezbollah in the north and Ansar Allah in the south, saying their operations have revealed the shortcomings of promises of protection offered to Israeli settlers.
General Qaani further stated that the aspirations of martyred commanders from previous conflicts have now been realised, and that multiple fronts confronting Israel have effectively merged. He stressed that this convergence marks the emergence of a new regional system, signalling that Israel must brace itself for the geopolitical and military changes unfolding around it.
Experts note that Qaani’s remarks reflect Tehran’s continued strategy of projecting influence across regional fronts and maintaining pressure on Israel while consolidating alliances with allied groups in Lebanon, Yemen, and elsewhere. Observers suggest that such statements aim both at reinforcing domestic resolve and sending a clear signal to Israel and its allies regarding Iran’s regional posture.
