LAHORE: A video showing a security guard’s blood sample being taken at the Ganga Ram Hospital blood bank has surfaced, raising concerns about hospital protocols and staff conduct.
Dr. Arif said that following the release of the footage, the hospital administration removed the staff involved. To investigate the incident, a three-member inquiry committee has been formed under the leadership of Dr. Zil Huma.
Dr. Arif added that both the supervisor and the security guard implicated in the incident have been suspended, and the private security company overseeing the personnel has been fined Rs 50,000 for poor performance.
The hospital authorities stated that the inquiry will thoroughly review the circumstances surrounding the blood sample collection and ensure accountability. The move aims to reinforce procedural integrity and maintain public trust in hospital services.
