KARACHI: The weather turned pleasant in Karachi after late-night and early morning drizzle in various parts of the city, while light to heavy rain is expected throughout the day.
Drizzle and light rain continued intermittently in different areas including I.I. Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Old City M.A. Jinnah Road, Buffer Zone, Malir, Korangi, Defence, Shah Faisal Colony, Nazimabad and Garden.
The weather remained pleasant across the city, with strong winds also continuing to blow.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with strong winds and thunder is expected in Karachi today. The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.5°C, while the maximum temperature is likely to remain around 27°C.
A spokesperson for K-Electric said that due to the forecast of rain in the city and surrounding areas, power supply may be suspended in some areas as a precautionary measure.
The spokesperson added that electricity supply is restored after the rain stops and clearance is received from field teams.
