SUKKUR: The 47th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed across Sindh, with ceremonies organised to honour his legacy and contributions to the country’s political and democratic landscape.

In Sukkur, a grand event was held at the residence of Syed Owais Qadir Shah in Sindhi Society, jointly presided over by Syed Javed Shah and Dr Arshad Mughal. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and special prayers for Bhutto’s eternal peace and for other martyrs of democracy. Attendees included prominent political figures such as MNA Noman Islam Sheikh, MPA Syed Farrukh Ahmed Shah, Mayor Sukkur Arsalan Islam Sheikh, and Chairman District Council Syed Kamil Haider Shah, along with party workers and office-bearers.

Speakers at the event paid tribute to Bhutto’s enduring efforts to strengthen democracy and protect public rights. Charitable initiatives, Quran recitations, and reflections on his political legacy were also carried out.
In Khairpur, the anniversary was observed at Wasan House by Nawab Khan Wasan, with similar prayers, charity distribution, and participation of local leaders commemorating Bhutto’s contributions.
