TEL AVIV: The head of Israel’s military command, Rafi Meliomasgab, has acknowledged that the Lebanese group Hezbollah’s military capabilities have surprised the Israeli forces.
Speaking to the media, he stated that Hezbollah is highly active, possessing around 10,000 rockets and multiple launchers. According to the commander, the group is capable of firing up to 500 rockets daily for six months. He admitted that Israel’s prior assessments of Hezbollah underestimated the group’s actual strength.
Rafi Meliomasgab also apologized to residents in northern Israel for the damages caused during recent confrontations, highlighting the intensity and unexpected scale of Hezbollah’s operations.
