TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has claimed that the enemy suffered a historic and humiliating defeat following a two-week ceasefire and negotiations.
The council said the United States had been forced to accept a comprehensive 10-point plan proposed by Iran.
In its statement, the council said the proposals included guarantees of non-aggression from the US, continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, acceptance of uranium enrichment, and the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions. It also called for the withdrawal of US forces from the region, compensation for damages, and an end to hostilities against Lebanon.
The statement added that all resolutions by the UN Security Council and the Board of Governors should be revoked as part of the agreement. It congratulated the Iranian people on what it described as a major victory, urging unity until full details emerge.
The council warned that Iranian forces remain on high alert, saying any misstep by the enemy would be met with a strong and immediate response.
