DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A district-wide crackdown had been launched against vehicles with tinted windows and unregistered motorcycles and cars across Dera Ismail Khan.
The operation had been carried out on the directives of Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Mekan and under the special instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed.
Police teams across the City, Saddar and Paharpur divisions had conducted strict checking through checkpoints and snap inspections at various locations. During the campaign, dozens of motorcycles and vehicles had been inspected, while legal action had been taken against multiple violators for breaching traffic regulations.
Authorities had also taken firm action against vehicles with illegally tinted windows, removing the tint on the spot and issuing fines to several owners.
DPO Ziauddin Ahmed had reiterated that violations of traffic laws would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He had said such measures would continue to ensure the safety and security of citizens and their property.
He had further urged the public to comply with the law, ensure proper registration of their vehicles and motorcycles, and avoid the use of tinted windows to prevent legal action.
