DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police in Dera Ismail Khan carried out a series of operations against criminal elements, recovering a kidnapped child, arresting suspects involved in robbery and narcotics cases, and retrieving stolen property, officials said.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of DSP Paroa Circle Muhammad Saleem Khan Baloch and SHO University Cadet Zafar Abbas.
According to details, a 14-year-old boy, Muhammad Fayyaz, son of Muhammad Ramzan, who had been kidnapped from Kotla Qaim Shah, was safely recovered. The suspect, Abdullah, son of Rehmat Khan, a resident of Nawab from the Bhittani tribe, was arrested and taken into custody.
In another operation, police recovered a tractor trolley worth Rs1.5 million that had been stolen three days earlier and returned it to its rightful owners.
Police also arrested two suspects involved in drug trafficking. They were identified as Abdul Rehman, son of Murad, a resident of Chajjri, and Fida Hussain, son of Khuda Bakhsh, currently residing in Muzaffargarh. Officers recovered 950 grams of charas from their possession. Cases were registered against the accused and further investigations were under way.
SHO Zafar Abbas said operations against criminal elements would continue without discrimination, adding that no one was above the law.
Meanwhile, the parents of the recovered child and the owners of the stolen tractor trolley expressed gratitude and happiness, and honoured DSP Muhammad Saleem Khan Baloch and SHO Zafar Abbas with garlands, thanking police for their efforts.
