KARACHIA doctor was shot dead in a firing incident near Metropole Hotel on Shahrah-e-Faisal, police said.According to Karachi Police officials, the victim identified as Dr Sarang was travelling in a rickshaw along with his wife when the attack took place.
Investigators said the doctor was being followed by suspects in a car and was later targeted near the busy roadway. He was associated with a private hospital near Gulistan-e-Johar Chowrangi.In a separate incident, a trader was injured in firing in New Karachi’s Sector 11-B. Police said the victim had previously received a extortion threat letter.
Authorities have launched investigations into both incidents, while evidence is being collected from the crime scenes.
