ISLAMABAD: Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has thanked the Pakistani government, military leadership and public for what he described as their role in facilitating peace-related efforts and ensuring smooth arrangements during a recent Iranian delegation’s visit.
In remarks issued after the visit, the ambassador praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying their engagement and coordination had contributed positively to efforts aimed at de-escalation and regional stability.
He said the Iranian delegation’s stay in Pakistan had been marked by comprehensive security arrangements, careful planning and effective administrative coordination. According to him, the professionalism demonstrated by Pakistani institutions reflected well on the country’s capacity to manage high-level diplomatic engagements.
Reza Amiri Moghadam also expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s armed forces, police and other security agencies, acknowledging their role in ensuring a secure environment for the visit. He further appreciated the hospitality shown by the people of Islamabad, describing it as patient, welcoming and cooperative.
Referring to Pakistan as a brotherly, friendly and neighbouring country, the ambassador said Tehran remained committed to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
His remarks come amid a period of active diplomatic exchanges between the two countries, as both sides continue to engage on regional security, trade and political dialogue in a shifting geopolitical environment.
