KARACHI: An open public hearing on corruption complaints was held at the office of the National Accountability Bureau in Karachi on 30 April 2026, chaired by the director general, Shakeel Ahmed Durrani.

The hearing was conducted in line with directives from the NAB chairman, Nazir Ahmed, where a large number of citizens attended and lodged complaints related to corruption, corrupt practices and public fraud. Most complaints were submitted by victims of illegal housing schemes.
Durrani, along with senior NAB officers, heard the grievances of those affected and issued on-the-spot instructions to ensure prompt redress of complaints. He stressed that the recovery of looted money and assets remained the bureau’s primary responsibility and should be carried out in a timely and transparent manner.
He appreciated the public response in coming forward with complaints against corrupt elements and thanked the victims for placing their trust in the institution.
