KHAIRPUR: A thoughtfully designed and well-executed event was organised by Ms Rukhsana Soomro, Lecturer in English, on Thursday, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for students.

Students from Batch-24 of the Departments of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and English, along with students from Batch-23 of the English Department, participated in the initiative. Soomro, serving as their subject teacher during the concluding semester, turned the event into a celebration marking the completion of their shared academic journey.
The program began with students purchasing books of their choice and delivering insightful book reviews, followed by a book-gifting activity among peers.
The event was further enriched by a guest speaker session by Murtaza Hussain, Assistant Chief Accounts Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, whose address offered guidance and motivation to the students. The celebration also included co-curricular activities such as poetry, singing and interactive sessions, which added energy and engagement to the program.
Prof Dr Manthar Ali Kerio, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technology, appreciated the efforts of Rukhsana Soomro and encouraged students to continue reading beyond their prescribed syllabus. Mr Fazal Ali Bozdar, Instructor in English, also shared his experiences with the students.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and the distribution of certificates. Such initiatives reflected how a committed teacher can turn learning into a lasting and enriching experience for students.
