KARACHI: Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab met K-Electric chief executive Syed Taha and held discussions on electricity transmission and plans for a solar park.

The mayor welcomed the K-Electric delegation at the Metropolitan Corporation Karachi head office.
He said K-Electric was not only supplying electricity to Karachi but also to parts of Balochistan. He added that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and Karachi Water Corporation were ready to extend full cooperation in efforts to produce and supply cheaper electricity.
He also said the municipal administration was prepared to provide land for the establishment of charging stations for electric bikes and vehicles.
The mayor said the city aimed to move towards green and clean energy, focusing on affordable electricity supply and the expansion of charging infrastructure. Haris Jamil and other K-Electric officials also attended the meeting.
