KHAIRPUR: Accountant General Sindh Miandad Rahoojo paid an unannounced visit to the District Accounts Office Khairpur, triggering a swift response from staff as they moved to ensure office arrangements were in order.

During the visit, he inspected several sections including the pension branch, GP branch and record room. District Accounts Officer Ghulam Sarwar Chachar briefed him on the functioning of the office.
People visiting the office for official work complained about delays and what they described as indifferent behaviour from staff. Pensioners and other visitors also expressed frustration over unresolved issues.
Addressing their concerns, Rahoojo assured visitors that efforts were being made to resolve all problems in a timely manner. He directed staff to improve their conduct with the public and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
Speaking to the media, he acknowledged that there were vested interests and mafias involved, adding that when strict action was taken, public pressure often followed with complaints that offices had become too rigid.
