KARACHI: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Karachi has arrested two suspects in a targeted operation against an online drug distribution network operating in New Karachi area.
Officials said the action was taken following intelligence shared by a federal civil intelligence agency, leading to a coordinated raid in which two individuals allegedly involved in drug trafficking were detained.
The suspects have been identified as Naeem, son of Manzoor, and Muhammad Kashif, son of Muhammad Saleem. Police said both were reportedly habitual drug dealers who used online platforms to supply narcotics to customers across different parts of the city.
During the operation, authorities recovered 225 grams of crystal meth, commonly known as “ice”, from their possession.
A case has been registered at the SIU police station, and further investigations are underway to trace other members of the network. Law enforcement agencies say raids are continuing to dismantle the wider supply chain linked to the suspects.
