KARACHI: Artillery Maidan police arrested two suspects during a patrol operation for allegedly involved in illegal petrol supply, according to a District South Police statement.
The arrested suspects were identified as Asif, son of Fareed, and Salman, son of Fazal Ahmed.
Police said the suspects were attempting to supply illegal petrol using a loading vehicle bearing registration number LF-0162.
During a search, 200 litres of illegal petrol were recovered from the vehicle. Police took the recovered petrol and the Suzuki loading vehicle into custody.
A case was registered at Artillery Maidan police station, FIR No 73/2026, under Sections 285, 286 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Police said the arrested suspects have been handed over to the investigation wing for further inquiry and legal proceedings.
The statement was issued by the spokesperson of District South Police under SSP Mehzoor Ali.
