WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump is set to undergo a full medical and dental examination on May 26 amid ongoing public speculation about his health.
The White House confirmed in a statement that the check-up will take place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as part of his routine annual health monitoring.
It will be his fourth medical visit since returning to the presidency, as Trump approaches his 80th birthday in June, which would make him the oldest elected US president in history.
Concerns about his health increased in recent months after visible marks and bruises were observed on his hands and skin during public appearances.
His physician previously explained that the marks were caused by frequent handshaking and the regular use of aspirin. Reports suggest Trump takes 325 mg of aspirin daily, which is higher than commonly recommended preventive doses for heart health.
Trump, however, has dismissed all concerns, telling reporters that he feels the same today as he did 50 years ago.
