BEIJING:: Members of the US delegation accompanying Donald Trump reportedly discarded all items provided by Chinese authorities before departing Beijing at the end of a two-day visit.
According to foreign media reports, President Trump concluded his visit to China and left Beijing after holding meetings with senior officials, including Xi Jinping.
Local media said in a social media post that US staff collected and disposed of all items given by Chinese officials before boarding Air Force One. These reportedly included identification cards and temporary burner phones.
It has been noted that none of the items provided by the Chinese side were allowed to be taken onto the aircraft. The materials were placed in a box positioned beneath the boarding stairs prior to departure.
The move is being viewed as part of standard security precautions often observed during high-level diplomatic visits.
