MOSCOW: Russia has confirmed that preparations for an upcoming visit by President Vladimir Putin to China have been finalised, with an official announcement on the dates expected soon.
According to the Kremlin, the visit will include a high-level meeting between President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the two leaders are expected to discuss the outcomes of the recent China visit by US President Donald Trump, along with broader international developments.
He added that talks will also focus on strengthening bilateral ties, expanding trade cooperation, and addressing key global issues.
The visit is being seen as part of ongoing efforts by Moscow and Beijing to deepen strategic coordination amid shifting global dynamics.
