TANDO ALLAHYAR: A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Tando Allahyar on the occasion of Pakistan–China Friendship Day, celebrating the long-standing ties between the two countries.
Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Asif Ali Khaskheli hoisted the national flags of Pakistan and China during the ceremony as a tribute to what participants described as an enduring friendship between the two nations.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the friendship between Pakistan and China had strengthened over time and both countries had supported each other in difficult moments. He said China was a trusted friend of Pakistan and cooperation between the two countries in multiple sectors was exemplary.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Tando Allahyar Babar Saleh Rahpoto, Mukhtiarkar Tando Allahyar, DSP City Tando Allahyar, revenue staff, district officers and representatives of various departments.
Participants highlighted the importance of diplomatic, economic and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and China and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Separately, Deputy Director Information Tando Allahyar Khalid Hussain Kamboh also organised a flag-hoisting ceremony at his office to mark the day. Senior Clerk Zulfiqar Ali Ansari, Junior Photographer Ghulam Waris and Asif Ali Siddiqui attended the event.
Across the district, various government departments and schools also held ceremonies and awareness programmes to highlight Pakistan–China relations and their longstanding friendship.
