KARACHI: Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi Azad Khan attended a training workshop for traffic police officers and personnel focused on stress management, anger control and public dealing at the Clifton licence branch.
The workshop, titled Professional Conduct Under Pressure, was held in collaboration with Law is My Protector. DIG Traffic, district SSPs (Traffic) and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
During the workshop, Law is My Protector president Fauzia Tariq trained traffic police officers on professional conduct, effective communication, de-escalation techniques, social media awareness and maintaining a positive attitude in difficult situations.
In his address, Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan said courteous behaviour and a positive attitude were essential for improving relations between the police and the public. He said traffic police personnel dealt with a large number of citizens on a daily basis and their conduct directly affected the image of the police department.
He further said efforts were being made to improve police behaviour, adding that people expected good conduct from law enforcement personnel. He stressed that professionalism, patience and effective public interaction were key to enhancing police dignity and public trust in the present era.
At the end of the workshop, Additional IG Karachi presented a commemorative shield to Fauzia Tariq in recognition of organising the training session and providing effective instruction.
