DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A farewell ceremony was held in honour of Abdul Nasir Khan on his transfer, who also served as chief executive officer of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Dera Ismail Khan.
The event was attended by a large number of senior management officials, officers and staff members of the organisation.
Speakers paid tribute to the outgoing deputy commissioner, saying he had taken effective steps during his tenure to improve institutional performance and played a key role in strengthening municipal services, particularly sanitation and public service delivery. They said several public welfare initiatives were completed under his leadership, along with sustained efforts to address civic issues.
WSSC Dera Ismail Khan presented a commemorative shield to Abdul Nasir Khan in recognition of his services.
Shields and certificates of appreciation were also distributed among officers and staff members from various departments for their performance, dedication and contribution to the organisation.
In his farewell address, Abdul Nasir Khan thanked the WSSC team, saying staff members had performed their duties with dedication and a strong sense of public service. He said teamwork was essential for improving sanitation and municipal services, adding that organisational success was the result of collective effort.
The ceremony concluded with appreciation for his leadership, administrative contributions and public welfare initiatives during his tenure as deputy commissioner and CEO.
