KHAIRPUR: A career counselling students society, in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy, organised a career induction session at the Students Society Centre focusing on the Short Service Commission Course 2026-B.

The Pakistan Navy recruitment team conducted the session, which attracted participation from students across multiple academic disciplines. The session provided detailed guidance on eligibility criteria, online registration, initial testing, selection procedures and career opportunities within the Pakistan Navy.
It was conducted by Lieutenant Commander Yasir Kamran Khawaja and Lieutenant Muhammad Mazhar Saleem, who briefed students on professional development, leadership, discipline and opportunities in national service.
Students from departments including international relations and media, communication studies, information technology, engineering, education, law and medical sciences attended the session.
An interactive discussion session allowed students to ask questions and seek clarification about recruitment and career pathways in the armed forces. Organisers said the initiative aimed to connect students with professional opportunities and raise awareness about public service careers and national institutions.
Faculty members including Ms Shumilla Rubab Rizvi and Mr Asad Abbas, along with the PMYDC team, also attended the session and appreciated the initiative. The session concluded with encouragement for interested candidates to prepare for the upcoming recruitment cycle and apply through the official Pakistan Navy recruitment portal.
