TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons and blamed Israel for instability across the region.
According to Iran’s state media, Pezeshkian made the remarks while addressing discussions on talks with the United States, saying Tehran would not engage in diplomacy under conditions of humiliation.
He said Iran was fully aware of the difficulties of standing firm against what he described as the world’s most powerful forces, adding that the country must remain resilient in the face of external pressure.
The Iranian president further stated that it was unrealistic to expect normal conditions to return after conflict while continuing confrontation at the same time, warning that inconsistent approaches would not lead to stability.
Iran has repeatedly denied Western accusations regarding its nuclear ambitions, insisting its programme is for peaceful purposes only, while tensions with Israel and the United States remain high amid ongoing regional disputes.
