Addressing participants of an ongoing sit-in in Landikotal, Iqbal Afridi said he stood with the affected communities and would extend all possible support for their demands.

He stressed that meaningful progress could only be achieved through collective effort and mutual understanding among local communities.
Iqbal Afridi said that jirgas should be convened to discuss and resolve disputes, and a joint strategy should be adopted to address the challenges faced by the area. He added that traditional mechanisms of consultation and reconciliation could play an important role in restoring consensus and stability.
The lawmaker further stated that achieving public rights required a large and organised protest movement, and he assured participants that he would provide full cooperation in that regard. He urged tribal elders, community leaders and residents to maintain unity so that the issues affecting the region could be resolved effectively.
Speakers at the sit-in have been demanding solutions to various local concerns, while the protest continues to draw participation from different segments of the community.
